INJURY TIME VICTORY FOR WEST IN CUP TOURNEY
FORFAR West End were in trophy-winning form at the weekend - winning the GA Engineering Cup for the first time.
But they left it late to record a three-two victory over Carnoustie Panmure at the Westview Park home of Kirrie Thistle FC.
Gary Muckersie fired West into the lead midway through the first half, but Kevin Steele levelled soon after.
The Forfar side regained the lead when Carnoustie keeper John McCafferty was judged to have crossed the goal-line in a bid to hold a towering free-kick from Ralph Henderson.
Seven minutes from time Panmure were back on level terms for a second time, Darryl McKenzie turning the ball past his own keeper.
But, deep into injury time, Darren Bonella headed the winner for West End.
This coming Saturday, Forfar West End will play host to Rosyth in a league fixture, kicking-off at 2.30 pm.
