ON what proved to be the busiest week of the season Forfar Road Runners have been well travelled.
Sam Connelly set the ball rolling on Sunday, June 29, incorporating the Isle of Arran half marathon into his holidays. He returned with the over-70 title in a time of 122.24.

Last Sunday, the club battled it out over the hilly half marathon circuit, famous for its testing hills and warm conditions.

Metro Aberdeen dominated the race, with four members placed in the top nine to win the team prize.

Scott Neyedi was first man home in 76:08, while Marion Wood of Arbroath Footers retained her title in 85:23.

The week ahead looks a little quieter, with the Newburgh Five on Wednesday (tonight), together with the club run, taking in Westfield, Restenneth Farm, the Rosie Roadie and the Benzil, leaving from Forfar Lochside Leisure Centre.

On Sunday, the club stages its next handicap six-miler in the summer series, leaving from Suttieside at 11 am.
