FORFAR Day Care users will soon be able to click on to the world-wide web - thanks to a £250 award from Forfar Roof Truss Company Limited.
The Day Care Centre has been successful with an application for the monthly sponsorship award from the Orchardbank-based company.
The money will be used to help purchase a lap-top computer and internet connection for use by those who attend the Lour Road facility.
"We will be able to assist our service users to make use of the computer to keep in touch with family and friends overseas by e-mail and skype," explains manager Kathleen Fotheringham.
The centre has been fund-raising towards the computer purchase and the £250 award from Forfar Roof Truss Company will go a long way to helping meet the outlay.
Forfar Day Care Centre's history goes back over two decades - being opened in October 1987 to provide facilities for older people living in the community.
A charitable organisation, the centre provides day care facilities for older people who would benefit from such a service.
It is open Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, providing both permanent and temporary long and short-term placements.
