PUPILS at Forfar Academy swapped school uniform for fancy dress before coming off for their summer holidays, raising over £1,000 for the Nepali Children's Trust.
The money was raised via donations from pupils for not wearing uniform, as well as various events in the school quadrangle on the Friday, June 20.

The event raised a total of £1250.

Our photograph shows the cheque being presented to Mrs Anne Goldie, a volunteer at the New Life Centre – a children's home/cum school in Kathmandu.

Making the presentation is Stefanie Fletcher on behalf of the Pupil Council, which organised the fun day.

The school hopes to further develop links with the home over the next five years and, hopefully send some pupils out to do volunteer work there.
