Angus Council tenants are set to benefit from the introduction of a new service which allows them to log in their own repairs online.
Tenants can log up to five repairs at a time and ask for the contractors to call between two timeframes, 8 a.m. to 12 noon or 12 noon to 5 p.m.
The web-based facility opens the repair service to tenants, and guides them to accurately specify the repairs they require, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Housing spokesperson Councillor Donald Morrison said: “The council is committed to ensuring that people enjoy the highest standard of council housing. This new additional way for tenants to log their own repair requests will enable us to provide a prompt and efficient repairs service, which I am sure residents will find helpful.”
Tenants use a graphic tool to identify their repair, then enter their address, contact and access details.
The council will either instruct a tradesman to carry out the repair or arrange for the local housing officer to inspect the problem. The new service is in addition to the traditional ways of reporting faults by phone or at the council’s ACCESS offices.
Tenants can access the repair service at the online services section of the council’s website www.angus.gov.uk/housingrepairs
