THE success of a Burns Supper staged earlier this year by members of the Angus branch of the Black Watch Association has resulted in a funds boost for Lippen Care.

The event was staged at the Forfar branch headquarters of the Royal British Legion Scotland.

Popular singing duo Peter Dick and Bill Carr entertained with a selection of Burns songs.

“When we asked them to come along, they said they would be happy to do so if, in return, we made a donation to Lippen Care,” commented branch spokesperson George Mitchell.

“Knowing the excellent work undertaken by Lippen Care we happily agreed.

“At our Burns gathering we always hold a raffle with proceeds going to our welfare fund. This year the raffle was particularly successful so it was decided to donate £100 to Lippen Care.”
