The lineup for a brand new festival near Carnoustie has been announced and features some top names from the dance music scene.

Festival of House organisers revealed today (Friday) that British electronic dance duo Underworld will be headlining the event on June 10 and 11 next year.

Best known for their track ‘Born Slippy’ which featured on the ‘Trainspotting’ soundtrack, Underworld will appear alongside the likes of Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard and Dubfire, and many more.

Speaking about the announcement, Karl Hyde and Rick Smith of Underworld said: “We’re really excited about being back in Scotland for the Festival of House. It’s always great playing to a Scottish festival crowd so our expectations are high for a big night in Panmure. See you in June.”

Festival Director Craig Blyth said: “Festival of House is set to be a major new highlight in Scotland’s festival calendar. The site in the heart of Panmure Estate is a beauty with an easily accessible campsite surrounded by ancient woods and views across the Angus countryside. With a top lineup of electronic artists across stages and tents plus many more to be revealed, we are confident the inaugural year will be a big success.”

Tickets for The Festival Of House go on sale at 9am on Monday, December 21, costing £50 per day or £95 for the weekend (subject to booking fee) and are available from www.skiddle.co.uk

A dedicated campsite for 6,500 fans will be in place. Situated adjacent to the main site, festival goers can soak up the beauty of the surrounding forests as well as enjoying panoramic views across the Angus countryside. Camping tickets cost £145 (subject to booking fee). The campsite will host food concessions, entertainment and Glamping options by TangerineFields.co.uk

Regular coach services will operate from key locations to Panmure Estate. Details will be announced via the website in due course. Car parking will also be available adjacent to the site. Cost per car is £10 in advance, £15 per day on the day of the event.
