Tractor and bus collision

TEN PEOPLE were injured in a collision involving a bus and a tractor this morning near the Brechin Castle Centre.

There were 13 people travelling on the 21 service bus and nine of them were taken to hospital, three to Brechin Infirmary and six to Ninewells in Dundee.

One man on the bus suffered suspected neck and back injuries and some of the casualties on board had to be treated for mouth and teeth injuries.

There were two people travelling in the tractor, which suffered extensive damage, and they had to escape out of the back window.

Tayside Police officers immediately closed the road while they attended to the casualties.

Fire engines, six ambulances and a trauma team were all on site following the crash.
