The Woodland Singers to entertain at Glamis

GLAMIS, Inverarity and Kinnettles Church is to stage a concert in aid of church funds on Sunday, June 3, from 7 pm.

The concert will be held in Glamis Kirk and will feature The Woodland Singers, who hail from the Woodland area of Bilton, near Rugby, Warwickshire.

The Woodland Singers ladies choir was founded in 1968, and presently has 34 singing members. The choir is currently enjoying a tour of Scotland.

On June 3, in Glamis Kirk, the programme will consist mainly of works by British composers of the last 60 years, although included will be one or two American items with British links.

The choir is being supported by the ever-popular Angus Strathspey and Reel Society, who will entertain with their own brand of Scottish traditional fiddle music.

Light refreshments will be available at the end of the concert. Entrance is £6, payable at the door.
