The Legendary Real Thing set to play in Angus

The Legendary Real Thing will be taking to the stage in Montrose in 2017 it has been announced.

North East Musical and Sports Promotions have revealed they will be bringing The Legendary Real Thing to Montrose Town Hall on March 11, 2017.

The British soul group formed in the 1970s and is made up of Chris Amoo, Eddy Amoo and Dave Smith.

Charlie Campbell, of North East Promotions, said: “The Liverpool-based band has kept their original line up through the years and have remained a top draw at retro events throughout the world.”

The band found chart success with the catchy pop soul single ‘You To Me Are Everything’, which reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 28 on Billboard’s ‘R&B Singles’ and No. 64 on Billboard’s ‘Hot 100’.

Their follow-up, ‘Can’t Get By Without You’, did not chart in the US but was still a huge success in the UK, where it reached No.2 in the charts.
