‘The BFG’ takes to the stage

Forfar Dramatic Society’s eagerly-awaited production of Roald Dahl’s ‘The BFG’ will take to the stage tonight (Thursday) for a three-night run.

A family show for all ages, but which will have particular appeal to children, the show will be staged at the REid Hall in Forfar at 7.30pm with a matinee also at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Director, Christopher Hewitson, has drawn on his vast theatrical experience to bring the script to life with imagination and vision and to make this a spectacular family show. A strong cast sees Ewan Phillip as the BFG, Elaine Hewitson as Sophie and seasoned regulars Neil Paterson, Bill Atkinson, Linda McLaren, Grahame Miller, Kay Brown are joined by Society newcomer Louise Cumming.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £30 for a family ticket of two adults and two concessions with any additional concessions priced at £5. Tickets for the show can be bought online via www.forfardramatic.com, from the Toy Castle, Castle Street, Forfar or at the door prior to the show.
