Over £400 was raised during a charity fund-raiser at the Forfar Tesco store in aid of Guide Dogs at the weekend.
A whole host of activities had been arranged for customers including free face painting, a stilt walker and a children’s entertainer.
Guide Dogs representatives were on hand to give customers information about the charity and show them around their interactive Guide Dogs exhibition unit.
Some of the guide dogs, who regularly use the store as part of their training exercises, were also there to demonstrate their skills.
Alis Atagan, Guide Dogs district fund-raiser for North of Scotland, said: “We rely entirely on the generous donations from the public to fund our core services.
“We managed to increase awareness of Guide Dogs and raise some money at the same time.
“We had a brilliant day at the store and it was great we were able to get involved.”
Store manager Calum Telford said: “My team and I had a fantastic day and we hope customers did too! One of our aims is to work closely with local charities, and we feel we have been successful in reaching our goal by holding our Guide Dogs fund-raiser.
“We aim to continue our work with local charities in the future.”
