The Angus Farmers’ market will bring an abundance of summer treats for everyone this Saturday at its indoor venue in the Strathmore Hall, Forfar.
Angus is the home of first class soft fruits and there will be the opportunity to pick up a punnet of locally-grown strawberries and raspberries.
Antonia from Myreside organics will have a selection of seasonal vegetables including salad leaves, stir fry bags and tasty broad beans all freshly picked on Friday in time for market day.
The Hubertus Game stall is always popular and will have tasty venison kebabs made with Moroccan spices, perfect for a summer barbecue. There will also be mallard duck fillets and whole rabbits.
The winner of the June loyalty card draw was Raymond Colla who will collect his prize of £150 worth of market vouchers on Saturday. The next draw will be made at the market on December 12. Entrants just need to collect six stamps at the Montrose and Forfar markets, with no purchase required. Loyalty cards are available at the market information stall.
The market can be found in Montrose on the first Saturday of the month and in Forfar on the second Saturday, both 9am to 1pm.
