Summer produce will be in abundance at the Angus Farmers’ Market this Saturday in the Strathmore Hall, John Street, Forfar.
Fresh salads and new season soft fruits plus meats and seafood will give customers the choice of perfect ingredients for a nutritious family meal.
The popular Hubertus game stall will bring some delicious hot spicy venison sausages and burgers, also the fantastic combination of pheasant, cranberry and apple sausages.
If you are looking for useful gifts for Father’s Day on June 21 why not give him some farmers’ market gift vouchers? The vouchers are valid for one year from date of purchase and can be used at both Montrose and Forfar markets. There will also be tickets available for the Angus Brewfest, a brand new event to be held in Forfar on October 17 bringing craft beers, ales and spirits together with live music and delicious foods including a hog roast. Early bird tickets are only £5 each.
Customers are reminded if they have six stamps on their loyalty cards they will be collected at the market information stall ready for the draw at the end of Saturday’s market. The lucky winner will win £150 of market vouchers.
Resident chef Hayley Wilkes will have her free adult cookery class at 10am and this month she will show you how to make fresh pasta. The children’s cookery class will be at 11am and they will be making delicious strawberry mice.
The market runs from 9am to 1pm.
