The Early Days Group run by Forfar Midwives and NHS Early Years & Breast Feeding Support Worker welcomed local mothers and babies to their Strawberries and Cream afternoon at Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre.

The babies were treated to a mini Book Bug session by Literacy Development Officer Sylvia Main and got to meet Book Bug in person.

Light refreshments were generously supplied by Asda Community Life Champion worker Andrea Logan.

The Early Days group is free and meets every Friday between 1.30 and 3 p.m. at Whitehills Health and Community Centre in room 42.

It provides an opportunity for all new mums to meet other local mums in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Early peer support helps the mums build confidence, make new friends and extends early social interaction so important to young babies.
