ST JOHN’S Church recently held a very special service to honour the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion in Scotland.
At the service, Forfar man Alexander Adam was presented with the medals he earned during World War Two when he served in North Africa, Italy and various locations throughout the mediterranean.
Georgiana Osborne, Lord-Lieutenant of Angus, presented Mr Adam with his medals in the company of Ruth Leslie Melville, Provost of Angus, representatives of the Royal Marine Association (of which Mr Adam is a member) and members of the RBLS Forfar Branch, family and friends.
Mr Adam was presented with The Africa Star, Italy Star, 1939/45 Star and the Defence Medal.
After the service a lunch was enjoyed by all at The Legion in Forfar.
