STAFF from Angus Council and partner agencies rallied together to help raise funds for the Tayside Special Olympics.

Tayside Special Olympics are heading to Cyprus next month to take part in the Special Olympics European Bowling Tournament.

Staff from a range of authority departments, and from across Angus, including people who take part in the Healthy Working Lives initiatives, signed up to ‘Walk the Loch’ for a donation.

Some participants even decided to run around the loch, either once or twice, in a bid to support the team and their trip.

Duncan Reid, a member of the Tayside Special Olympics Squad, who is travelling to Cyprus said: “The squad really appreciate the support shown by Angus Council to help assist us in our fund-raising efforts in travelling to Cyprus.”
