Once again the monthly summer Songs of Praise services will begin this coming Sunday, April 1 at 6pm in the Glenprosen Church.
Sadly, 2012 will see the last of these services. Having been held for almost 20 years, the services have been attended regularly by locals and those from further afield.
Over the years there have also been visitors from overseas, who have been in the area holidaying with relatives, or who have been simply told by friends.
The services have also been a source of helping to raise thousands of pounds for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association through the retiring offerings.
At the service on Sunday, Lamont Forbes will lead the singing of the popular and well known hymns and songs which will include, Amazing Grace, The Lord is King, and Lord of the Dance.
There is an open invitation for anyone to join the congregation, for what is hoped will be a rousing start to the last of the summer services.
There will be light refreshments laid on again in the village hall afterwards, thanks to friends in the glen, and giving all an opportunity to meet and chat.
