A yellow ‘be aware’ warning for snow has been issued by the Met Office for Angus for tomorrow (Friday).

The warning - which covers the Highlands and Islands, Grampian and parts of Tayside - is in place from 4am tomorrow until 10am.

The Met Office’s warning says: “A band of rain, falling as snow across high ground, will spread south across northern Scotland during Thursday night and into Friday morning, with snow levels lowering to around 300 metres bringing slight accumulations. At lower levels any wintry outbreaks will only bring temporary slushy accumulations.

“Icy patches will also develop on some untreated surfaces towards dawn.

“Please be aware of these wintry hazards bringing some difficult driving conditions.”
