Schedules out for Kirriemuir shows

Schedules for the Kirrie Flower Shows are available now for anyone wondering how to keep busy in the approach to spring.

Categories for the spring show include knitted jumper for a boy, snood, pram blanket, gent’s birthday card, spring photograph, beadwork and drawing. For the summer show the handicrafts include a doorstop, bookmark, Christmas card and lavender bag. Schedules are available from local shops or the Old Parish Church office.

The shows are on April 18 and August 15 and there are also classes for flowers, plants, vegetables, flower arranging and baking. Children have their own classes and further information is available from the secretary on 01575 572819.

At Kirriemuir and District Gardening Associaton’s recent annual general meeting, chairman Stewart Ramsay tendered his resignation which was accepted with regret, as he has given many years of hard work as committee member and as chairman. Sheila Bruce was elected as the new chairman and Anne Pole was re-elected as Secretary/Treasurer.
