Every month the Forfar Roof Truss Company Limited, in conjunction with the Forfar Dispatch and Kirriemuir Herald, kindly donates a £250 sponsorship cheque to a local group or individual.
Over the years thousands of pounds have been donated to a variety of local causes.
Last year the recipients were the Rising Youngstars, Forfar Academy, Cruse Bereavement, Whitehills Primary School’s enterprise team, Forfar Girl Guides, the North Angus District Scout Section, Forfar film-maker Ryan Dewar, Forfar in Flower, Peter Fordyce for the purchase of a lathe for Forfar Academy, Alexander McGregor for discos for adults with learning difficulties, the Kirriemuir Scout Group and finally Angus Care and Repair.
