Angus South MSP Graeme Dey is hoping to see a wealth of Angus nominations for the Future Farmer Award 2012, which is run in conjunction with the Elizabeth Murray Trust and NFU Scotland.
An annual award of £4,000 is given to a Scottish farmer demonstrating innovative thinking, to help with practical support and assistance to promote their ideas and methods to other farmers and land managers.
With Angus one of the country’s most famed and historic areas for agriculture and its rural produce, the local MSP wants to ensure plenty of local entries for the award.
The deadline for nominations is just a few weeks away - April 29.
Mr Dey said: “In Angus we have some of the best farming land in the country, and plenty of local talent who could be in line for this year’s Future Farmer Award.”
