Detectives making enquiries into a robbery at the Co-op Store in Forfar’s Dundee Road at about 9.45 p.m. on Sunday, November 3, have released CCTV images in a bid to identify a man who was in the store at the time of the incident.

A three-figure sum of cash was stolen from a till at the store by a man who had previously been seen acting suspiciously in the premises. A member of staff was threatened with a spirit bottle but no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Officers want to trace a man who was in the store at the time of the incident and who can be seen in the CCTV images.

He is seen wearing a blue hat and a blue scarf, a dark-coloured jacket, grey trousers or tracksuit bottoms and red trainers with white laces and white trim.

Anyone who knows who this man is or who has information that could assist enquiries should call Tayside Division on 101, or speak to any officer.
