Police attend disturbance

TAYSIDE Police officers were called to deal with a disturbance in Forfar’s town centre this morning.

A police spokesperson confirmed they were called to the rear of the Queen’s Hotel in Forfar’s West High Street at around 9.15 am.

Three police vehicles attended the scene and the link road from the high street, known as Killacky’s Corner, was blocked to traffic.

The spokesperson added: “Two men were found to be in possession of a controlled substance. 

“One was also in possession of an offensive weapon. Both men will be the subjects of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.’’
