Police Scotland, Tayside Division can confirm that a female pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries as a result of a road traffic incident on Monday, May 23, at Dronley Road in Birkhill has now been named as 61-year-old Ella Maxwell from the Birkhill area.

A police statement said: “Mrs Maxwell’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss and have said that she will be greatly missed. They do not wish to make any further comments and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.”

Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.

As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
