Outdoor activities galore

Angus Council’s Community Learning & Development Service and LMART in Forfar is offering young people in the town a holiday programme packed with activities.

The programme is also being supported by the Angus sports development team, the CAFÉ project, TCA, Pitstop, Outdoor Store, Forfar and Ally Smith, Tayside Police.

On offer are a number of outdoor activities, including canoeing and mountain biking.

“We are having an Olympic themed programme with an Olympic fun day at Forfar Albion, football tournament and arts and crafts, the chance to try a variety of sports activities and games at Forfar Lochside Leisure centre and much more,” explains a spokesperson.

“There is also trips to ice skating and Battlefield. Look out in Forfar for the Youth Bytes bus, which will have a range of activities on offer including bike maintenance, arts and crafts, internet access, wii competition and street football.”
