Forfar couple Ken and Kate Stirling have returned from Africa having completed an epic 600-mile journey through Zambia.

The couple embarked on the trip to help raise awareness of and funds for Riders for Health, a charity that provides essential transport for health workers in the region.

While Ken joined a dozen other motorcyclists for the trip between capital city Lusaka and Livingstone, Kate opted to travel in one of the group’s support vehicles.

Their route took them through some of the country’s most stunning landscapes but also afforded them the opportunity to see for themselves the charity in action and the benefits to the local people that it can bring.

During their trip they went out with local health workers and attended a vaccination clinic for mothers with young children.
