The Original Factory Shop CEO Tony Page, former head of Woolworths, celebrates the rebirth of WorthIt!

A little bit of the “wonder of Woolies” has returned to the high street thanks to leading discount retailer, The Original Factory Shop (TOFS).

The retail chain, which has an outlet in Forfar, has launched WorthIt!, an exclusive range of great value everyday essentials that resurrect the best of an old high street favourite.

The WorthIt! range revives the much loved Woolworths concept of providing customers with everything they need to kit out their homes at the lowest price possible, without compromising on quality. The brainchild of former Woolworths CEO Tony Page, the WorthIt! trademark is now owned by TOFS.

Tony said: “When Woolworths left the high street, the spirit of great value everyday products and community based retailing almost left with it. However The Original Factory Shop encompasses that classic Woolies ethos and with over half of British families now shopping at discounters, customer demand for everyday essentials at affordable prices is only increasing.”

The Worth It range was launched on Monday.
