New look for hall

THE SKEIN Tryst ‘a meeting place’ for coffee and lunch are delighted to be able to purchase new tables and chairs for Kilry Village Hall where it meets on the first Wednesday of every month.

Funding for the tables and chairs was received from Kirriemuir Rotary Club, Forfar Roof Truss Company, the Red Nose Appeal and a the Annie McLean Trust which is administered by Blackadders Solicitors, Dundee.

Barbara Lovegrove, chairwoman of the Skein Tryst, said: “The trustees of the Skein Tryst were delighted to be able to purchase the tables and chairs for not only their own use, but also for the benefit of other hall users.”

Representatives of the funding bodies and members of Kilry Hall committee were welcomed to the July meeting of the Tryst where the tables and chairs were used for the first time.

Entertainment, ‘Kilry the What’ was provided by Allan Thomson and Bob Wallace from the Kirriemuir Rotary Club.

To celebrate the opening of the hall after refurbishment the Kilray Hall Management Committee are holding a cheese and wine evening on July 21.
