New dawn for fund-raising

BAGGING CASH: A recent bag pack staged Asda in Forfar to raise money for the New Dawn Children's House in Nepal run by local woman Helen Henderson from Letham was a great success, raising 50. Bag pack organiser Karen Munro said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to Andrea Logan, community liaison at Asda, and all the staff and customers who so generously donated. The sum of 1 feeds one of the children for a day so 250 will feed all the children for almost a month! The check-out staff were lovely and not only did we raise a fantastic sum for a worthwhile cause but we all had a good time doing it! We had a really good laugh with lots of the customers! I was especially proud of the teenage lads who helped us pack - they were amazing! Thank you so much Scott Ritchie, Joe McIntosh, Glen Gauld and Ross Gauld - you are all definitely on Santa's good list!"
