WHAT factors draw us towards a piece of art or a particular exhibit in a museum’s collection?
The stories and poems in the anthology, ‘A Private View’, by Nethergate Writers, were all inspired by a variety of objects in the McManus’s collections.
On Tuesday, May 7, at 6 p.m. at the Dundee Art Gallery and Museum, members of the public are invited to go along and hear Esther Read and The Nethergate Writers read from their work and see the selection of both the art and artefacts that they decided to choose.
In what way could the interaction between the two influence your own response to both?
There will be informal 30 minute talks on the arts and humanities and the event is a collaboration between Abertay, Dundee and Leisure and Culture Dundee.
Doors open at 5 p.m. at the Dundee Art Gallery and the event is free and all are welcome to attend.
