Mystery objects on display

Visitors to the new display at the Gateway to the Glens Museum will need to wear their thinking caps.

Until January 12, 2013, they can test their knowledge by trying to identify the mystery objects which make up the latest display.

The items range from an ordinary walking stick, with a famous previous owner, to a Victorian laundry tool that would look more at home on a Dalek!

Have a go at guessing, before uncovering the answers and learning about each item.

The display features nearly 50 mystery objects in the museum which is situated in the town centre.

For further information, please contact staff, during the museum opening hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday, by telephoning 01575 575479, by e-mailing or by calling in person.
