Moy top of the shop in Academy house quiz

FORFAR Academy held its first house quiz event this term, and it was a massive success.

All three houses - Cally, Moy and Lethnot -, had the opportunity to win 400 points.

The quiz was ‘loosely’ based on the television game show, ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire’, with the senior house captains as the game show contestants. The house captains faced a total of 15 questions covering all subjects within the curriculum.

From geography to English, each question won them points, which could be banked at anytime.

Get a question wrong and they would leave with the number of points from their last safe ‘milestone’.

The other pupils within the house were the audience and were called upon to help out their house captains when the ‘Ask the Audience’ lifeline was used. They did not let their captains and correctly answered the question when called upon.

All the house captains did an excellent job of winning there house some extra points and the results were as follows: Moy: 300; Cally: 200; Lethnot: 275.

Overall it was a very positive experience and was received well by all pupils and another quiz is the pipeline already.
