Memories of the W.R.V.S.

Our trip down memory lanes takes us back to 1997 and the days of the W.R.V.S. in Chapel Street. The occasion was the retirement of Mrs Margaret Mackie as a volunteer. She had helped out on the popular Meals on Wheels service in the town. Margaret is pictured receiving gifts from Mrs Ruth Leslie Melville. Also pictured are, back for left, Liz Ferrier, Jess ?, Mrs Morris, Alice Whyte, Margaret Sneddon, Anne Nicoll, ? and Sheila Easton with Ruth Leslie Melville, Margaret Mackie and Mary Geekie in the front. Margaret had volunteered with the W.R.V.S. since 1967, retiring 17 years ago.
