Have your say

Perhaps you have noticed that workmen on the building at 42 High Street have uncovered a former shop sign.

Can you remember what this building was used for 10, 20 or even 70 years ago?

If you can you are just the person Kirriemuir Heritage Trust is hoping will pop along to the Glens and Old Parish Church Hall on Wednesday, December 7 from 2 pm where they are holding an “Auld KIrrie “day.

The idea is to share living memories and photographs of Kirrie - of such things as the berries, schooldays, buildings, wartime, industry and entertainment from the distant and not-too distant past before these precious parts of our history are forgotten. In the evening there will be appropriate entertainment along with Christmas pies and mulled wine.
