The children of P2S at Northmuir Primary School, Kirriemuir have been working on “Gifts & Giving” as a subject topic recently and decided to combine this with an Enterprise Project to raise money for a good cause.

The children raised the money by making and selling Christmas cards to parents; holding a cake and candy sale; ‘Guess Rudolph’s Birthday’ and ‘Guess Number of Sweets in a Jar’.

A total of £180 was raised, enabling the class to fill six back packs to donate to the Back Pack Project which is part of the Mary’s Meals campaign.

The packs are filled with ‘essentials’ - from pencils and rulers to soap and toothpaste - to allow children in countries like Malawi and Liberia to attend school.
