Market moves indoors

THERE is the ideal opportunity to stock up on some fresh, local produce next Tuesday when the Angus Farmers’ Market moves indoors to the Reid Hall for a special Christmas market.

Many market favourites will be on hand to sell festive ware in time for Christmas, and there is a wide range of stalls selling items which will make an ideal Christmas gift.

Stall-holders will enjoy the warm surroundings as they welcome the public from 10 am to 7 pm.

Everything to make your Christmas more memorable will be on sale, from holly wreaths, succulent and delicious first class meats, dairy produce and a wide range of game.

The sales tables will be groaning with eggs and fresh vegetables, preserves, chutneys, pickles and flavoured oils. dry–cured hams, sausages, steak pies, scotch eggs, home-made traybakes, gingerbread loaves, fudge and tablet.

There will be a selection of old fashioned sweets and Fairtrade goods,

There will also be a selection of crafts including hand dipped scented wax bears, contemporary jewellery and charms, farmyard kitchen ceramics and cookware inspired by pigs, sheep. cats and dogs, handcrafted herbals natural skincare products including soaps, ointments and lip balms.

There will be a selection of briquettes to keep your home warm during the festive season, and a selection of jewellery which will make the ideal Christmas present, or a treat for yourself!

Local charity the Mountains Animal Sanctuary at Glenogil will have a stall and there is a variety of crafters offering a wider range of gifts from wood turned items, hats, contemporary tartan gifts and bags, soaps and glassware items.
