Lord Lieutenant’s Guild talk

Georgiana Osborne gave an interesting talk to Kirriemuir Parish Church Guild recently about her duties as the Lord Lieutenant of Angus.

Her term of office has been in operation for 13 years but the lieutenancy has represented the Royal Household since the King initiated it in 1921.

She mainly welcomes members of the Royal Family on their visits to Angus and has welcomed The Queen and Prince Philip, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, Princess Anne and The Duke of York. She has also taken salutes during visits by the armed forces.

She is a very busy lady who clearly enjoys her post. The vote of thanks was given by Kay Belton.
