FORFAR care worker Pierre Bernard (38) is on the hunt for 29 fellow runners to join him in taking part in the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run on October 2.
Pierre is running in aid of the Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK) as his daughter, Courtney (13), suffers from the spinal condition and has to wear a spinal brace for 20 hours a day.
His wife Fiona also suffered from the condition until being operated on at 15 and his son, Lucas (1) will receive annual checks after he was diagnosed at only eight weeks, but his body thankfully resolved itself.
SAUK is the only support charity in the UK for Scoliosis and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Pierre is looking for 29 runners to join his team and raise valuable funds to put towards a helpline and fund family days out for sufferers of the condition.
To join Pierre you can e-mail him at Pierre.Bernard@SAUK.org.uk and for further information on the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run or to sign up log on to www.greatrun.org
