Waiting for Video...

Tonight (Wednesday) is opening night for the Rising Youngstars’ production of ‘Cinderella’.

The 50 talented local youngsters who are appearing in the show have been busy polishing their song and dance routines, adding the final touches to their costumes and going over their lines for one last time.

The cast, which is aged between five and 16, will be performing this fun-packed pantomime at the Reid Hall in Forfar on the evenings of Wednesday, January 22, Thursday, January 23, Friday, January 24, and at 2.30 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, January 25.

Fiona Retalic, co-producer of the show and founder of Rising Youngstars, said: “Cinderella is a story loved by everyone, of all ages.

“Throw in a great young cast, a fabulous script written by local panto experts, fantastic musical numbers, breathtaking dance routines and side-splitting slapstick moments and what more do you need for a great night out for all the family?”

Tickets (priced £8 or £6 concessions) are available by emailing RisingYoungstars@mail.com or calling 07759 491819. They are also available at Forfar Golf Driving Range; Garlands Florists, Forfar and The Star Rock Shop, Kirriemuir.

The group was set up with the aim of encouraging young people to participate in full-scale musical productions.
