The Angus Tayside Young Farmers’ annual cabaret competition was held last month in Arbroath’s Webster Memorial Theatre.

It was a closely fought contest between the district’s three clubs - Brechin YFC, Forfar JAC and Strathmore JAC - with Strathmore emerging as the winners with their production of ‘Gary Tractorman.’

Forfar came second with ‘Mrs Broon’s Loons’ and Brechin were third with ‘Oh Daisy’. The prize for the best act out with the winning team went to Robin Norrie of Brechin for his portrayal of ‘Farmer John’.

All three clubs will now compete in the East Area competition which will be held in Perth Concert Hall this Saturday, February 8.
