Why not volunteer in 2013?

What’s your New Year’s resolution? Get fit? Lose weight? Why not decide to make a real difference in your local community this year by volunteering?

Scotland’s Health Charity Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is appealing to people in Forfar to sign up for one of the many interesting and rewarding volunteer roles available locally.

More than one thousand volunteers already give us 123,000 hours each year to support community stroke services and raise funds for the charity so why not join the team in 2013?

You could help people who have had a stroke or are living with heart failure or chronic chest illness to enjoy a better quality of life.

As an accredited ‘Investing in Volunteers’ award holder CHSS offers its volunteers the highest standard of training and care so anyone giving their time to the charity can be sure of being valued and appreciated as well as receiving excellent training.

Volunteers are needed to help in the charity’s local shops in Crieff and Forfar to serve customers, sort and merchandise stock or provide admin back up.

You don’t need to make a big commitment; all you do need are lots of enthusiasm and a little free time.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with CHSS or would like to find out more please contact the Volunteer Information Line free on 0800 169 5139.

You can also visit the charity’s website www.chss.org.uk for more information.
