Staff from the Kirriemuir Dental Practice swapped their walking boots for running shoes on Sunday to take part in the Angus Rotary Marafun in Forfar.
Team members, fresh from their charity walk from Kirriemuir to Dundee the previous Monday, were among the 34 teams who took part in the relay event in Forfar town centre.
The Kirrie team of Suelynn Tan-Stroud, Aisling Hanly, Sarah Bell, Vikki Lyall and Helen White competed in the half Marafun event, coming second in a time of 2.02.08. They were only just knocked off the top spot by the team from Strathmore Primary School in Forfar who completed the course in 2.01.21.
It had been a hectic week for the Kirrie staff. Last Monday they stepped out with former colleague Christina Chatfield on the first leg of a 500-mile walk from Kirriemuir to Brighton to raise funds and awareness of mouth cancer.
On Monday the Kirrie team of Aisling Hanly, Emma Gordon, Helen White, Angela Simpson, Vikki Lyall, Shannon Campbell, Lynn Sharp, Moira Millar and Sarah Bell were joined by retired dentist Jim Estill and local businessman Mark Guild.
