The Church of Scotland ‘Church and Society’ committee has released a paper on a survey/consultation it undertook last year on issues people are interested in and what it means to people of faith.
To that end the East and Old Parish Church in Forfar has invited Mr Andrew Tomlinson, the acting associate secretary of Church and Society, to give a talk regarding the results of the consultation on independence.
It will take place in the East and Old Church on Monday, March 31 at 7.30 p.m. and will last approximately 90 minutes.
This talk is open to all people interested in the independence issue.
The Church of Scotland’s historic report on the future of the nation is being presented at venues across the country, kicking off in Ayrshire.
‘Imagining Scotland’s Future: Our Vision’ has gathered the views of over 900 people who attended 32 community events organised to gauge opinions on what a future Scotland should look like. The report provides a unique perspective on the referendum debate.
The tour began in Stevenston on March 11 and involves those who have authored the report presenting its findings and listening to the views of attendees. Further details are available on the Church of Scotland’s website.
