Staff and customers at the 1st Stop 2 Shop store in South Street have given their financial backing to the life-saving Scottish Charity Air Ambulance service.
The collection was organised by Mrs Avril Simpson whose son, Mike, is a former RAF hecilopter pilot. Mike is a very good friend of Gavin Davey, the CEO of SCAA.
Avril said: “They were in the RAF together, flew their helicopter from Guttersloe in Germany to behind Montrose Academy back in 1991 after the Gulf war. That was a great day for the pupils and Eric Summers, the Acting Head, has never forgotten the experience!” Avril is pictured receiving the cheque for £200 from Umar Sher.
