Sudden death at farm

TAYSIDE Police can confirm that, along with colleagues from Scottish Ambulance Service they attended at Auchendorie Farm, Westmuir at about 1.45 p.m. yesterday afternoon following a report of a 29 year old male having been trapped by a tree whilst carrying out tree felling work.

Unfortunately the male died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.

Details of the victim, who resides in the Kirriemuir area, will be released following his next of kin being informed of his death.

The Health and Safety executive are aware of this work related incident and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
