Sudden death at Auchindorie Farm

TAYSIDE Police can confirm that a 29-year-old man who was killed yesterday after being crushed by a tree in woodland near to Auchindorie Farm, Westmuir, by Kirriemuir, Angus, has been formally identified.

He has been named as John Phillips of Balkeerie, Forfar.

Mr Phillips, a woodcutter by trade, had been working when the incident happened at about 1.45 p.m. yesterday (Thursday, March 14).
