The FINAL chapter of a trip down memory lane saw four local worthy causes in Kirriemuir receive a significant boost to their coffers last week.

Cheques for £300 each were presented to the town’s three schools and the fund-raising committee of the group aiming to improve facilities in the Davidson Park. The cash was raised off the back of a hugely successful ‘Ball in the Hall’ last August.

The disco grew out of a desire to organise a reunion of locals who had embraced the Old Kirriemuir facebook pages. A fund-raising committee of Elaine Findlay, Alan Franchi, Audrey Ireland, Nikki Dobson and Colin Hutchison, agreed the money raised should be split equally between Webster’s High School, Northmuir and Southmuir Primary Schools and the Davidson Park committee.
