Road traffic collision on A90
TAYSIDE Police are appealing for information regarding a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at about 7.30 p.m. on Monday.
The accident happened on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen Road near the Bogindollo junction, near Forfar
Involved in the collision was a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a black Audi Quattro.
The A90, northbound, was closed to traffic on Monday night with diversions put in place via Montrose.
An 18-year-old driver was trapped in his vehicle and freed by firefighters and paramedics. He was then taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where his condition was described as serious.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “The driver of one car was released by firefighters and paramedics and taken to Ninewells. Another casualty had minor cuts to his hands.”
The road had recently been gritted and driving conditions described as good; police do not believe weather was a contributing factor to this incident.
Police are carrying out a crash investigation and are appealing for witnesses and it is asked that anyone who has information regarding this incident contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222 or any Police Officer.
