POLICE in Kirriemuir are investigating damage to a wooden climbing frame at Northmuir Primary School.

The incident took place at 7 p.m. on February 7 and local youths are suspected.

Enquiries are being made into a case of online fraud in Glamis Road, Kirriemuir, at 2.15 p.m. on February 10 and vandalism to curtain rails within a private hired bus between Dundee and Kirriemuir, again on February 10. A male passenger is suspected for the latter.

An incident of hare coursing in the Airlie area at 4 p.m. on February 17 has been reported, as has the attempted theft of a motor vehicle at Woodlands Avenue, Noranside ,between 4 p.m. on February 13 and 3 a.m. on February 14.

The wooden bench next to the Peter Pan statue in the Square was damaged between 3.15 p.m. on February 1 and 9 a.m. on February 3. A handbag and its contents were stolen in Brechin Road between 9.15 a.m. and 10 a.m. on February 4.

There have been several complaints from residents in the Roods area of Kirriemuir concerning the indiscriminate parking of vehicles. Police have and will continue to address the issue with offending vehicles being issued Fixed Penalty Notices for parking on double yellow lines.
